I’m Susie. A Texas girl combining my love of candles with my desire to
bring glory to God.
My life revolves around my husband and best friend of 26 years, along with our fun lovable adult teen boys and adorable boxers. If you sit down for a cup of coffee with me, the conversation is probably going to center around family, fitness, books and a new delicious recipe I’m trying out.
Nature and music are endless sources of inspiration for me, and often how I connect with Jesus. He’s my everything. I love waking up to a new day with new mercies, getting out in the fresh air with my family and discovering art in its million forms.
THINGS I’VE LEARNED
I’ve had about a dozen jobs: waitress, orthodontic assistant, stay-at-home mom (my fave), student, crossfit coach, and account sales rep to name a few. Beyond that, the most rewarding challenges have been marriage & motherhood because they hold the potential to cause the most pain & joy. In all areas, it’s been crucial to stop living in my head and believing lies. I’ve learned to be present, show up and embrace reality as it is. I found my way to wholeness by anchoring my hope to the one who breathes life - Jesus!

One of those little ways I’ve discovered is hand pouring luxuriously scented candles that bring a little joy into your home.

- SCENT. I love when things smell incredibly good. What an opportunity we get to create a culture of God's goodness in our home. More than any other senses, smell is intimately linked to the parts of the brain that process emotion and memory. S & L unique aromas are designed to bring joy, energy, creativity, comfort, relaxing, inspiring and optimistic moods in your home.
- Each candle promotes LOVE by contributing to Angel House, a non-profit that brings abandoned children in India from slums to safety and into the loving arms of caretakers that educate, love and raise them to be future leaders. My heart is that each candle serves as a beacon of light and hope for the brokenhearted. Read more about this mission here.
